About Hoffman Pool Services
Hoffman Pool Services started in April 2014 with one pool. Today the route stretches across Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch — and it still belongs to one family. Owner Cy Hoffman runs every visit himself.
Three chapters
Cy spent his teenage summers watching the local sand on Sarasota’s beaches. He went into the fire service next, and 12+ years later he’s still pulling part-time shifts at Station 10 on Fruitville Rd. The pool route started in between — and it hasn’t stopped growing since.
Before he could legally drive, Cy was watching the water from a Sarasota lifeguard tower. The summers that built the work ethic everything else is built on.
Joined the fire service. Still serves part-time at Sarasota County Fire Rescue, Station 10 on Fruitville Rd. The same showing-up-no-matter-what discipline runs the pool route.
One pool, one referral, then another. Twelve years and counting on the same route. The first pool? Still on it.
The home team
The reason any of this makes sense. Wife Heather runs everything off the truck. The kids Tegan, Crayden, and Lochlan wear the jerseys. Stella the puppy supervises.
This is a family business in the most literal sense. Cy’s name is on the door because Cy is the guy who shows up.
In the community
The route runs through the same neighborhoods we live in, eat in, and answer fire calls in. Hoffman Pool Services isn’t a franchise — it’s the family next door, and Sarasota isn’t a market to us. It’s home.
